Never a dull moment on this island! We’ve got the April events for Oahu listed below for your perusal. We typically don’t post this many “ticketed” events, but honestly these just sound like so much fun we couldn’t help but share. Just a heads up, we’re still waiting to hear details about events taking place for Easter, so we’ll post about those when we have more info.
Ola Ka Ha at ‘Iolani Palace
April 6th, 10 AM – 4 PM
Join Ha Enterprises at this benefit concert to raise money for ‘Iolani Palace. About a month and a half ago, the palace was badly vandalized and one of its beautiful glass doors was shattered. The money raised at this event will go towards restoration. Enjoy live music, storytelling, crafts, vendors and, as always, lots of delicious food!
50 Million Dollar Party
April 12th, 7:30 PM – 10:30 PM
The Neal S. Blaisdell Arena is celebrating its 50th anniversary with Hawaii’s biggest dance party and you’re invited! The evening will feature the music of legendary artists such as Earth Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, Young Rascals, Chubby Checker, Stylistics, Temptations, Elvis, Paul Anka, Beach Boys, Coasters, Carpenters, Chicago, Bill Haley, Eric Claptop, Aretha Franklin, Bruno Mars, Celine Dion, Journey and more. Join emcee Tom Moffatt for what is sure to be an incredible, fun-filled night!
Duke Kahanamoku Beach Challenge
April 13th, 9 AM – 3 PM
If you’ll be in the Waikiki area, you do NOT want to miss this awesome all-day event. Taking place at the beautiful resort property of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the 29th Annual Duke Kahanamoku Beach Challenge features canoe and SUP races, Hawaiian games and crafts, a Hawaiian artist marketplace and live entertainment from big names, including Jake Shimabukuro and Henry Kapono! Proceeds from the event support the programs and services provided by the Waikiki Community Center.
Bruno Mars Concert
April 18th, 19th & 21st
Shockingly, there are actually still a few tickets available for the Bruno Mars concert series at the Blaisdell Arena, but they are going fast so reserve yours ASAP. Fun fact that visitors may not realize – Bruno Mars was born and raised right here in Honolulu. His performance this year at the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show broke the record for most watched Super Bowl halftime show, drawing 115.3 million viewers!
Harlem Globetrotters 2014 “Fans Rule” World Tour

The world famous Harlem Globetrotters have been entertaining families for 88 consecutive years. Last year, they took fan interaction to a new level by allowing fans to vote on new game-changing rules that they wanted to see implemented. It was such a popular idea, they’re doing it again! If you’re unfamiliar with the Globetrotters’ show, they essentially combine amazing basketball skills and tricks with a heavy dose of comedy. In other words, it’s a one-of-a-kind experience that’s perfect for the whole family.
An Evening with Bob Dylan

That’s right, Bob Dylan and his band are comin’ to town! The American musician, singer-songwriter, artist and writer is best known for his work from the 1960s. He had a profound impact on popular music and American culture and has remained an important figure to this day. His powerful lyrics incorporate philosophical, political, social and literary influences. Spend an evening enjoying the musical stylings and stories of this great legend.
